COMPETITION
The Law Firm advises companies for the purpose of adapting their business practices to the rules of competition in force. Thus it always draws the attention on anticompetitive practices (understanding and abuse of market power) and the unfair competition, and in relation to its clients, it undertakes all required procedures to put an end to it.
INFRINGEMENT
With the opening to free-market economy, Algeria has undergone considerable development of informal trade, and especially the marketing of counterfeit goods, thus infringing the rights of the holders of trademarks as well as the security of users. In this respect, our Law Firm has a well-established expertise since it has had to intervene many times to protect the rights of our clients. This intervention has taken place on two levels:
- Through a preventive action: in collaboration with the Board of Customs, by the diffusion of an alert message for the attention of its regional structures in order to protect that trademark.
- Through punctual actions led in collaboration with the customs department of fight against fraud for seizures of counterfeit goods at frontier posts, and on the national territory with the services of the Ministry of Commerce.
